Poughkeepsie Man Sentenced To 30 Years For Drug Posession

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-- A Poughkeepsie man was sentenced to 30 years in a state prison for having a quarter pound of cocaine and heroin in his possession, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Police arrested Levy G. Lassiter, 52, in March 2014 after finding drugs, drug sales paraphernalia, $13,000 in cash and two cell phones, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Lassiter is a repeat offender with six prior felony convictions, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
